My friend recommended me this basement hair salon from a long time. I live in Brixton so it was a bit of journey but I am now extatic jumping out of joy!!! 😃
I arrived with long (lower back) African hair. I just wanted a treatment as they are super dry. Hareg explained that a treatment would not help the end as about 15 centimetres weren't dry but dead and needed to be cut! 😱
I did not expect that but the way she explained, I trusted her professionalism and told her to do what she thought was best! Cut and trim! ✂️ I was so scared! She also recommended to straighten it to smooth the frizziness. Again I had no intention to do that but I trusted her 🙏
Now it's cut to under the shoulders length and dry and shinny. Total change for me and I am over the moon!! 🤗😄

I came here for a dreadlock retwist and style, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. From the moment I walked in, the team made me feel comfortable and well looked after. They really know what they’re doing — my retwist was neat and clean, and the style came out perfectly.
The salon has a relaxed vibe, and you can tell they genuinely care about their clients and their craft. They also use great products that left my hair feeling soft and healthy.

The service was absolutely amazing from start to finish. The incredible hair massage – genuinely the best I've ever had. The Ethiopian butter is so nice and made my hair so soft. Guyssss this salon is AMAZINGGGGG for East African hair. Haregs amazing at straightening and curling hair. They have amazing treatments and they even sell some wigs. Definitely recommend. Mary on the other hand is fantastic with braids. I had boho braids done by her and they were chefs kiss 🩷
